We’re expanding our highly successful Children’s Entrepreneur Market nationwide!
The Children’s Entrepreneur Market fosters entrepreneurial skills among children. Through a series of child-led market events, we provide a platform for young entrepreneurs to set up their own small businesses, selling products or services they have created.
You will be organizing and executing 16 three-hour markets in your first year. Most markets are held Saturday morning, though sometimes a weekday evening works best, depending on the event. You will help promote the event online and in your community, manage your state’s Facebook page, and execute the market activities based on the training and support provided by the Program Director.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Plan and coordinate market events within the assigned state, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
– Liaise with community stakeholders, including local businesses, schools, and government entities, to secure support and collaboration.
– Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the market events through various channels such as social media, flyers, and local media.
– Supervise the setup, operations, and teardown of market events, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
– Evaluate the success of each market and provide feedback for future improvements.
– Maintain regular communication with the Program Director and provide updates on market activities.
– Represent the Children’s Entrepreneur Market in a professional manner at all times.
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
– 2-3 years of experience in event planning, community engagement, or a related field
– Excellent organizational and project management skills
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
– Passion for education and fostering entrepreneurship among children
– Willingness to reasonably travel to nearby cities for market events
– Must be available Saturday mornings as a default date for most market events
